A comprehensive 2-day training course covering various aspects of the Crlminal Justice Information System involved in Federal, State and Bergen County law enforcement. This "hands-on" course is geared to police officers, supervisors and dispatchers that require a familiarity with the function of the criminal justice information systems. Training areas include the Bergen County AMARS@ system and Bergen County E-mail system, as well as, National Crime Information Computer (NCIC) files, New Jersey DMV files, NJ Automated Traffic and Complaint Systems, (A.T.S./ A.C.S.), National Law Enforcement Teletype Systems (NLETS), NJ Law Enforcement Teletype System (NJLETS), NJ Wanted Persons System (NJWPS), NJ Criminal Case History (CCH) and the Interstate Identification Index (1.1.1.). Course includes basic applications of how and when to enter, modify, clear, cancel, and locate records applicable to each system as well as the laws and regulations for the use and dissemination of the information obtained.

 

REQUIREMENT: Each student must have working individual logons and passwords for the above systems assigned by their department TAC officer prior to attendance in the class.
