This two-day course is designed for investigators and detectives to learn the fundamentals of interviews and interrogations.

Topics of discussion will include:

Room set up, commencing the interview, two detective interviews, verbal and nonverbal communication, rapport building, question formulation, goal-oriented questioning, behavioral analysis questions, theme development, convince vs. convey, interrogation vs. interview comparison, confessions, confirmation bias. This course will also include a case study as well as an interactive component.
